Files and file shares
Put the document, report or code you're talking about next to the video, or share files on their own with one link.
Add files to a video
On a video you own, drop files anywhere on the page, use Add files under the video, or choose Add files from the More menu. Add link adds a web address, like a doc, a repo or a staging site.
Viewers open each file right on the page:
- PDFs show their pages.
- HTML pages show in a sandboxed preview: their scripts run, but they can't reach the viewer's account or the rest of the page. Source shows the code.
- Images and videos show full size.
- Code and notes (Markdown, text, JSON, CSV and source files) show as text, with a Copy button.
- Anything else can be downloaded.
Each file can be up to 50 MB. HTML pages are kept as text, up to 2 MB.
Share files on their own
In your library, click Upload and choose Share files, or drop several files onto the page. You get one link for all of them, with a preview of each, comments, and the same privacy settings as a video.
Upload a video
Click Upload and choose Upload a video, or drop a single video onto your library. It plays in the browser and gets a thumbnail, a transcript, a title and a summary, like a recording. Uploads from the website can be up to 50 MB; the sonvo upload command takes longer videos.
What agents can read
The text of each file goes with it: code, notes, HTML and the words in a PDF. AI tools reading the share's Markdown get all of it. See For AI agents.
