Plans and billing
Sonvo has two plans. See them side by side on Pricing.
Free
- Up to 10 videos and file shares. Delete one and you have room for another.
- Recordings up to 5 minutes. Sonvo for Mac shows a heads-up 30 seconds before, then stops and shares the video as usual. Longer uploads are refused before they upload.
- 250 views a month: each new person who watches one of your videos counts once. Past that, your videos rest until the 1st (you can always watch your own).
- Everything else: transcripts, AI titles, summaries and chapters, comments, files, Slack previews, the Mac app and the
sonvocommand.
Pro
$18 per person, per month, or $180 a year (two months free): unlimited videos and file shares, recordings up to 2 hours, and up to 15 hours of recording and 1,500 views a month. Accounts with a verified @benmore.tech email have Pro included, without limits.
Upgrade and manage billing
Choose Upgrade to Pro on Pricing (or in the account menu, Plan and billing) and pay through Stripe. Pro turns on as soon as the payment goes through. Manage billing on the same page opens Stripe's billing page, where you change your card, see invoices or cancel. A cancelled plan stays Pro until the end of the period you paid for; your videos stay afterwards.
From the command line
When a plan's limit stops a command (sonvo upload, sonvo share, sonvo record start), it exits with code 5 and prints why, with a link to upgrade. In --json the error's code is plan_limit, plan_length or plan_month.
